Discuss with Dr.: Best to discuss with your treating dr. And let them know you do not see a major difference after the procedure.  Many plastic surgeons take before and after pictures and you may see a difference, or you may simply need another treatment, etc.  Best wishes.

Many causes: see your doctor for a full evaluation. I would consider ruling in/out post-nasal drip,  heartburn/acid reflux, chronic allergies or chronic sinusitis, and heart burn/acid reflux. Do you use tobacco? Smoking, a dry environment , not drinking enough water, certain medications can also produce these symptoms. It is safe to swallow mucous, but it may be infected and you should blow your nose.

10 days: Assuming the fat lip is from trauma, 10 day is above average for the swelling to go down.  It may take a bit longer for bruising to resolve.

Allergic lip: Apply cold packs, benadryl (diphenhydramine) cream, and cortaid. Take 25 mg benadryl (diphenhydramine) every 5 hours for 3 doses.

: If you have plenty of extra cash and time you can contact a regional Cranio-facial Reconstruction Center ( there is one at Medical City Dallas) for a consultation. Regular insurers don't cover it. The work is major surgery. Reshaping the head involves reshaping the skull, not just a little flesh movement. It can be done, but get all the information available before you sign on.

Thrush: Hey coated white tongue that can be brushed with a toothbrush is most likely a yeast infection that can be treated with an oral antifungal mouthwash or with an oral antifungal drugs however if it is recurring then further work that needs to be done to ensure you do not have an underlying immune compromised condition
