See below: Duration of pregnancy is counted from the first day of the last menstrual period. If you wish to terminate the pregnancy, the sooner the better. You should consult your doctor or the planned parenthood clinic in your town. Early pregnancy, less than 10-12 weeks, could be terminated with medications alone.

After the termination - If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.

If regular periods..: If a woman has REGULAR periods, and she misses her period due to pregnancy, she just starts counting from the first day of the last period that she had. So, if her last REGULAR period was July 21, and she missed her August and September periods, then she just counts on the calendar the number of weeks from July 21 until now.

If one knows LMP, there are apps and websites that can help one to calculate weeks of pregnancy.
