Suction: If the nose is congested and full of mucous the best way to clear the nasal passages of a toddler who cannot blow the nose is to use a suction bulb. Spraying the nostrils with an OTC nasal saline and then using the suction bulb works best. There will be a protest, but "just suck it up"!

Allergies?: You may have allergies which a nasal steroid, such as Budesonide or fluticasone might be useful.  The best advice is to see your provider.

No: Albuterol is a bronchodilator, meaning that it is a medication which causes smooth muscles in the lungs to relax, helping to relieve the bronchospasm associated with wheezing and asthma. It does not work on the nose. Use saline nasal spray to clear out nasal congestion.

Not really: not a known reported side effect, however if you experienced it first hand, then it may be a factor for your symptoms. Generally it dries up secretions, so if you already had thick mucous it may have been made more thick by xyzal, (levocetirizine) hence the feeling of being clogged up, just a theory. At any rate, keep using saline nasal washes, see your doctor/ENT/allergist to rule out chronic sinusitis, goodluck

Head cold: It sounds as if you're developing an upper respiratory infection, otherwise known as a head cold.  Fluids, rest and tylenol (acetaminophen) should see you through the worst of it.  If not, see your doctor.

Could be yes.: Bacterial infections in the sinus cavity usually produce green nasal discharge.  Clear and yellow could be viral...or just inflammatory....or even fungal.

Runny nose: Ur child amy have caught another infection, as after the treatment for pneumonia there should not be any runny nose due to the treatment itself.
