The start of: Carious lesions will occur, but your teeth will not melt away. Most likely these "cavities" will not be deep enough to see or even treat, but the decalcified enamel can further break down over time. I don't even want to discuss the bad breath you would have after a month.

any reason not to brush teeth with baking soda? i occasionally use baking soda with my electric toothbrush, and the results are impressive!

Baking : Baking soda is found in many toothpastes. It is a base, which neutralizes the acids that the bacteria clinging to your teeth produce. It is also slightly abrasive which helps you remove some of the superficial stains. Moderate use with a soft bristle brush should not be detrimental to your teeth or surrounding tissue.

Brushing excessively hard, and overusing such an abrasive, can, over time cause a wearing away of the enamel on your teeth. Also, brushing hard can cause your gums to shrink back, exposing the roots of the teeth. The root surface will wear away much faster than the enamel, which can lead to hot and cold sensitivity.

No: Baking soda will cause wearing down your enamel and after a while, your tooth will look translucent and greyish, not white.  The thicker the enamel, the whiter the teeth.

: No problem with either.  Baking Soda is mildly abrasive and is an Acid Neutralizing  solution which helps prevent decay.   ARM &amp; HAMMER makes toothpaste with Baking Soda as main ingredient.    Because baking soda is not acidic, in fact it is acid neutralizing, it will not soften the enamel.  Acids like fruit juices makes teeth  more likely to abrade away with brushing.

First 24 hours: Iodine is excreted through kidneys, saliva , and sweat. After radioactive dose drinking as much fluid as possible to excrete excess radioactivity through  kidney. 1.5 hours after rx sour candies or gum to get rid of excess secretions through saliva. Solid meal not until 6 hours after dosing . Most excess radioactive iodine  excreted in first 24 hours. Rest accumulated in thyroid gland.

It can clean them: If your teeth are discolored primarily because of extrinsic stain, like coffee, tea, or smoking, baking soda is an effective dentifrice and will make them look whiter. If the teeth are intrinsically dark or yellow, cleaning won't change that but tooth bleaching may be helpful. For most people it is a combination of both issues so cleaning and bleaching together can often be effective.

Yes, but dangerous..: This technique can slightly whiten your teeth, but my concern is that use of high concentration hydrogen peroxide regularly around your mouth as a rinse can inadvertently kill off good bacteria.  This can lead to fungal infections that could require treatment... Talk to your dentist about safer, simple alternatives to whiten your teeth...

No: It's a matter of regulation.  Best to use baking soda in recipes, peroxide to clean traumatic lesions.  Use products specifically tested for intro-oral use (look for the ada seal of approval on the package.  Baking soda can be too abrasive.  Peroxide can be too strong.

Peroxide burn: It&#x27;s only temporary over-oxidation\burning\dehydration of the tissue. It will return to normal within a day or so. Speak to your dentist about how to accomplish proper oral hygiene and have clean healthy white teeth.
