May be dangerous: As an orthopaedic surgeon, i would not recommend any chiropractic manipulation after a spinal fusion.  Before having anything done, talk with your spine surgeon.  If he or she is not available, find a board certified, fellowship trained orthopaedic spine surgeon. At the very least, you should have new x-rays of your spine.

Perhaps: Adjustments and manipulations can usually be done safely once the fusion has healed. If there is still pain in the area, your doctor may need to do studies to be sure it is healed. Let your chiropractor or physical therapist know your surgical history. If there is any doubt, ask your surgeon.

No: If you are speaking of scoliosis or structural kyphosis, there are no studies to show that chiropractic manipulations can correct these conditions.

Pain: Just as a pt would, exam would be done to determine the source of pain. Given your age, x-rays not likely to show any significant abnormality. All lines and angles aside, these numbers are meaningless. Consider manipulation as a high energy/short phase massage that results in immediate elongation of painful muscles followed by a relaxation phase. Not likely harmful.

hello! i have a question, is it safe to go to a chiropractor if a disk in my lower spine is slipped?

Not for manipulation: It can be dangerous to manipulate a spine with a bulging, or otherwise abnormal disk. The chiropractor  may employ other modalities to ease your discomfort. If they are well aware of the nature your disk disease they can be of some assistance, using gentle maneuvers and non invasive modalities to relieve  pressure and gradual realignment may be cautiously employed. Do discuss this with your doctor

can spine still grow @ 38 causing nearly 3 inch permanent height increase? can space growth in vertebrae, chiropractor or stretching cause it?

Technically: If the discs (the cartilages) between the veterbrae are heavily HYDRATED there can be an increase in height after such hydration. Chiropractic manipulation can adjust the position of the veterbrae perhaps resulting in some small increase in height however these changes are usually TEMPORARY!

No: That does not happen in real life. Different people can measure a person's spine and come up with mildly different numbers, but the length of adult's spine remains the same... until it decreases as a person becomes elderly.

Can't make u taller.: While Chiropractic interventions may make you more aware of your posture, they can't actually make you grow in height.

Depends: This would depend on the state and country, but in general, licensed chiroprators in most states in the U.S. Can order mris of the spine.

have bulging disc, exercised, pain now worse than ever. saw chiropractor, should i also see spine dr? he burned the nerves, but still have pain!

Bulging disc: I realize the agony and helplessness it brings to your life. However if you take appropriate action and find the right doctor the discomfort might stops, and the problem can be corrected. 
Rec.: see intervention pain management specialist for evaluation and treatment.
