Hard to predict: Acne is often thought to be just a ritual of passage through the teen years.However,a percentage will continue to fight this problem well into their 30's or beyond. Persistence in spite of a good routine is part of life for some.

Not exactly: Most people do not understand that acne comes from inflamed oil glands as well as hormonal flares, lack of sleep, and stress.  It is also genetic.  Since it is a life long battle you have to battle it with prescriptions, laser care, cleansers, and if your skin gets dried out ; oil free moisturizers can help you look your best. Also hydrate by drinking lots of water.

Not a good idea: Try it with the face wash first for several weeks  It may cause some irritation at first and your skin needs to become tolerant of it, which can take a month or 2.  It may work fine by then and you won't need more.  If you don't improve with it, I would see a doc then, and see if an antibiotic for acne would be a better next step than increasing the salicylic acid.

Moisturizer: Use a fragrance free facial moisturizer to cut down on the irritation of the salicylic acid

: Breasts are not a common location for keratosis pilaris. You should be examined by a dermatologist for the correct diagnosis and you will need prescription for this condition anyway when you could not eradicate them with OTC products.

Scientific Rx: Just use the stuff as a wash. This will clear mild acne in a few weeks. If it seems not to be working, your physician can add something that will work with it to clear you. Since you're female, it may be spironolactone, an antibiotic, or the oral contraceptive pill. Severe acne may require stronger Rx. Acne's unrelated to lifestyle; ignore "pop" advice. You're an adult now &amp; need it gone.
