Possibly: Scabies in and of itself is a fairly easily treatable infection, however, in HIV + population, especially those who have aids, the immune system may be seriously compromised to fight the mite and the infection that is setting in due to the inflammation it is producing. This all may lead to complicated cases of skin infection and even generalization of such with unpredictable outcomes.

Yes: The Scabies mite is spread by direct skin to skin contact. Causes a rash of tiny red itchy red bumps with sometimes a red line between them. Acropustulosis are blisters/pustules on palms and soles of this condition found in infants. In children under one the rash may extend onto the face. Impetigo is the most common secondary infection of the wounds. See your MD for help with treatment.

Itching from scabies: The pruritus or itching which comes from scabies can be intense even after treatment has been given.  If you are having itching from the treatment this can be because of skin irritation if you had the cream or an allergy.  You may have an additional rash in addition to the rash from the scabies infection.  If the itching becomes worse consult with your health care provider.

Possibly.: Scabies can cause intense itching which worsens at night. If you check your skin you can see little burrows made by small blisters and bumps in skin folds. Places you might find them include your armpits, inner elbows, between your fingers, on your feet, around the buttocks, genitalia and breasts.  See your physician or a dermatologist for accurate diagnosis.

Itch after scabies: This is a very common occurrence and is your body reacting to the infection and not the scabie itself and may take weeks to resolve.

Could be scabies: You are describing either scabies or eczema (allergy). If you are also itching in hands and feet it is very likely that it is scabies. In that case all medications are prescription based so you need to see a dr. If not you may try otc Hydrocortisone cream + oral benadryl (diphenhydramine).

Itchy rash: Scabies may cause itching for some time after treatment but this is prolonged itching. Make sure there is no re-infection or another cause of this itching. Need to talk to your physician about seeing a dermatologist

See doctor: There are many causes for generalized itching but i would suggest that you first avoid using any strong or scented soap and apply a skin moisturizer immediately after bathing.   Anxiety can induce or worsen itching as well.

Not scabies: Although I am not sure what you have it certainly does not sound like scabies. It sounds like you should see a dermatologist.
