24 hours: It is usually dosed every 8 hours so it would take nearly 24 hours to be completely removed.

No: Drug tests are done for specific drugs, mainly controlled substances or illegal drugs. There would be no reason to test for amoxicillin.

Yes: and you have likely become allergic to it unless you have had similar reactions from your "anxiety" issue in the past not linked to drug intake.  Consult an allergist if you have any doubts.

i just finished 10 days of amoxicillin & had diarrhea d/t it how long till it's gone or is due to loss of good bacteria from body & how do i tell?

Possible: It is very possible your intestinal tract flora have been disrupted by the antibiotics. An easy way to help restore your "good" bacteria in the gut is to eat yogurt with live cultures.  The diarrhea should resolve soon; please be sure to stay well hydrated with clear fluids.  You can use products such as pedialyte to help keep your electrolytes up.

Unrelated infection: I think it's unrelated -you had Strep and wiped it out with those antibiotics. Now, it's very possible you've acquired a new infection - such as the flu or another infection. Best to try and get a diagnosis from your primary doc or a walk-in - then if it's flu, you can take antivirals. We're having a bad flu season here in the U.S. right now. You have 3 of the symptoms and need a proper diagnosis.

Seek wisdom: Rashes are a large part of pediatric care. Common dilemma is that viruses often cause harmless rashes (exanthums), but drugs used to treat secondary ear infections, sinusitis, etc. can be serious. Appearance, timing of rash is important. Recognition by a seasoned provider can be enormously reassuring. Allergists are called upon for diffucult rashes and can test for certain drug allergies.

how long does augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) remain in the body?

Not long at all: Augmentin gets cleared from the body rapidly, within hours - which is why we have to take it at least 2x a day. Most pharmacy books list a half-life of 1 to 1.5 hours. This assumes of course that you have regular kidney function, or at least close to normal. Usually, if you count '5' half-lives of the medicine, it's considered 'gone' from the system - so within 1 or 2 days I would expect it gone.

If: If this is from the Amoxicillin it should disappear in 1week. See dermatologist to discuss treatment options.

The drug or infectio: The infection could be gone but can come back.  That's why you need to finish your course of medication.
