: If you do not have kidney disease, stomach ulcers, gastritis, or bad reflux, &amp; if you eat something prior to taking Aleve, &amp; drink plenty of water during the day, it should be quite safe to take one Aleve per day.  It works very well for many patients with arthritis or certain other types of pain &amp; has been around for many years.

About 12 hours...: Should take approximately 12 hours apart.  Aleve is naproxen 220 mg.  It is fine to take 2 Aleve at a time as long as you are hydrated and do not have underlying kidney disease or take large doses of diuretics.

today i was having really bad cramps so i took one aleve. i then got the j&j vaccine two and a half hours later. did i ruin the vaccine? i know youre not supposed to take pain medication beforehand and ive been so stressed about this all day?

: Absolutely not ! Even though you've read about it, it's been overstated and there aren't studies in humans that confirm a negative effect on the efficacy of the vaccine from taking NSAIDs

Too much: Yes, 2500 mg of naproxen is too much. Ask your doctor for a different pain reliever. If the back pain radiates down in to the leg(s), sciatica and spinal stenosis need to be considered in the differential diagnosis.

Tylenol (acetaminophen): Tylenol (acetaminophen) or acetominophen can be a safer drug for older patients to take. If you have liver disease or drink heavily you should check with your doctor first as it can affect the liver in high doses or in certain conditions.

Better wait 4 more: hours, the two are NSAIDs and side effects can be an issue if taken too soon. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) can be used in the interim to control pain/fever if you wish, have a good day

i took 2 aleve (220 mg) tablets this morning for back pain. i took one more tablet 7.5 hours afterwards. is this ok or should i worry? i feel fine and dont take aleve regularly?

: It should not do any lasting damage. Do limit to the dose recommended by your doctor. Aleve can cause stomach upset. Regular aerobic exercise may help with your back pain. Exercise strong enough to induce sweating will improve muscle strength and flexibility. It may take up to 3 months so see the full effect.
