: Plavix and atorvastatin have different effects. If you have active coronary heart disease you need both of them. Both doses are commonly prescribed doses. If you have any doubt, please frankly discuss with your family doctor or cardiologist. Take care and good luck to you.

Rare: Death is exceedingly rare.  Bleeding can occur between 1-3% depending on the center and the type of tonsillectomy done.  The risk of bleeding needs to be weighed against the need for the procedure.  ENT doctors consider this when recommending removal of the tonsils

Need more info: I am not sure that i understand. Artery damage could be from hardening of the arteries or partial blockage. Internal bleeding is usually from slow intestinal loss from stomach ulcer or colon bleeding. Artery damage & intestinal bleeding are not related, unless he is on blood thinnners causing blood loss. Would need more information.

Yes: Risk of postop hemorrhage requiring re surgery is &lt; 5%.  Rarely life threatening.  Make sure you rest after surgery, avoid lifting, don't take aspirin, wait 10 days before eating rough edged food to minimize risk of bleeding.  If family or personal history of bleeding get coagulation function checked before the surgery.

Seek information: You need to discuss this with your physician and surgeon.  This may have just been an unfortunate occurrence which is always a risk with needle or incisional biopsy , albeit slight.  Alternatively , there could be an underlying platelet or blood disorder which contributed to your bleeding.  Your doctors can help you sort this out.  Communicate your concerns to them.

Abutting Vert: Abutting or clean through? A screw that is misplaced into the transverse foramen may simply be in proximity and not causing any problem. If at c7, there is no artery within the foramen transversarium, so only at risk for a venous issue. If you have no neurologic issues, nothing to do. Understand, that if vertebral arterial bleeding is encountered intraoperative, a screw left in place is treatment.

Yes,not as above : Vertebral artery dissections can cause bleeding usually from the dissection/rupture of a saccular aneurysm. These aneurysms are more common intracranially than in the extracranial location. The aneurysms are typically located at branch points of the major vessel. Treatment of the aneurysm is typically endovascular, with the placement of  coils to occlude the aneurysm.
