However, sometimes you can get a clot in your leg after an injury that can cause swelling in the injured or uninjured extremity, go to er to rule out a clot. This can be serious and even fatal.

When the foot pronates which is the path of least resistance for a foot the fascial band on the bottom of the foot goes on constant stretch and inflames see a podiatrist for custom orthotics and it will resolve.

Fractured foot: Depends on the location and severity of the fracture.  Your doctor will advise you of what will be required after an examination and probably x-rays.  Treatment for simple fractures can be accomplished with special boot splinting to possible surgery for severe fractures.
