Depends: If you are in a cast and the ankle immobilized, flying carries a higher risk of developing a DVT (deep vein thrombosis or blood clot in the leg).  

If you are walking around than it should be fine.  But ideally you should wait until your ankle is not immobilzed.

Difficult question: I have never seen that in all my years however a bruise can occur due to gravity pooling blood anywhere. If its painful or any type of drainage u should report it to your surgeon. How long ago was surgery?  Did you get a block behind knee? These could be factors.

Achilles tendon pain: The Achilles tendon is a very slow healing wound due to its poor vascularity. Furthermore the dependency of the leg itself may prolong wound healing due to edema. It is imperative that you follow the instructions of your surgeon and therapist and wear proper compression garments. Pain is not unusual for up to 2 years before becoming stable.

Yes you could: But I do not advice it, because the amount of the swelling you have, also sitting in the plain going to cause more swelling. If it is urgent for you to go ask for exit seat to keep leg elevated and ask doctor to give a shot of Heparin to use so you will developed blood clots.

Long leg cast : Usually the initial cast is a long leg(above
knee) cast which sometimes i will
cut down to below the knee after about
four weeks to avoid further knee 
stiffness.
