Someone may be allowed to leave under perfect conditions, which may include proximity and an experienced, committed caregiver.

Varies: If you have not had a lot of complications and the stent procedure is elective, you may not even need to stay in the hospital.  It is not uncommon to stay a day though.  You can usually work right away, but it depends on whether you develop any pain, which will vary person to person.

Depends: Cardiologists all have different thresholds as to when they should to procedures; even if a procedure can be done doesn't necessarily mean that it _should_ be, if the risks outweigh the benefits.  It is always useful to have a second opinion, and the key is to get appropriate informed consent; ask the new doctor why he's willing to do the stent where the others aren't.

Probably not: A few risks come to mind with your condition and a trip of this nature.  First, if the train climbs to high altitudes, you might be more prone to experience problems due to diminished cardiac function.  Second, the risk of communicable disease is higher with numbers of people in closed quarters.  Third, the train might wreck.  Overall, i'd say the benefits probably outweigh the risk.

: That depends on multiple factors including the type of heart attack that she suffered. Her treating cardiologist should be able to give you an accurate answer. They will likely perform an echocardiogram in the hospital to assess for structural damage to the heart caused by the ischemic event.
