Accepted Answer

Maybe!: No definitive studies show this, but has been shown to inhibit Insulin resistance.  Very healthy in it's own right.  I do take it for it's many benefits.  Not sure about the weight though! maybe? But not known!

Not true: This is not true. Why, at age 21, would you want to take them in the first place?

You need protein: Omega3 and omega 6 are good to take through your diet and not supplements
ratio od omega6 to omega3 should be 1to4
omega 3 source are fatty fish, treenuts 
and flax seeds
omega6 sources are walnut oil, sesame oil, mayonnaise, margarine, olive oil, turkey, chicken.Almonds grounded, sunflower seds
but to build muscles you need to eat more protein in diet and muscle building exercises.

i have costochrondritis. does omega-3 oil truly help lower the body's inflammatory response or is it a myth. if not, how much should i take daily?

Omega 3: some studies claim an effect. In one study patients with back pain took a preparation and it seemed to help reduce needs for NSAIDs, but that was in that study. Any new medication and dose should be discussed with your PCP. but in that study they took 1200 mg, but  the exact brand/? I don't know. can i make smoothies with omega 3 and fish oil pills? or will my body only absorb these in pill form?

Horrible taste: Omega 3 oils can be absorbed in many other forms such as fish; they do not need to be in capsules. The problem with a fish oil smoothie is the disgusting taste.

hi i am strictly vegetarian and looking for omega-3 dha source. i wanted to know if ala in walnuts gets converted to dha sufficient well in our body?

Look for algal DHA: In the US there are available sources of DHA that is derived from algae. You may be able to find a similar product in India. Ovega-3 is the brand name of one product here, and similar products are available.I'd look to the real thing and not depend on conversion.

doc wants me to take three 300mg of krill oil daily after my omega 3 test came back. i had been taking 1 krill plus a fish oil daily.  is this unusual?

Fish best: No evidence taking capsules help. Recommendation is to eat fish at least twice a week.

No need: Omegas have been recently discredited as cardiovascular protectors. A large study completed this year by the nih found no improvement in outcomes. So the demographic data that has indicated beneficial results of seafood consumption still applies; so eat ocean fish, not omegas.

i am 18 years old and i take modafinil three days a week at 50mg sublingual ,coffee for the rest 4 days, and omega 3 daily...i'm thinking of adding ginkgo biloba for it's cognitive benefits but afraid of the blood thinning effect, so is it okay?

: A brief comment:  several yrs ago, there was an extensive study from the Univ. of Pittsburgh Medical School, finding no significant or substantial cognitive value for Ginkgo Biloba.  So, save your money and do not search for "miracles" from Dr. Google!

The nutrients you: Mention are all good for your sexual response by creating nitric oxide.   Being 21 y. O. You may not need all of them.  Marine fish oil and ginkgo biloba are blood thinners.  If you find yourself bruising easily or bleeding or are on a blood thinner please stop using them.  Consider just using the fish oil.  Peace and good health.
