depends: The type of incision can be the same in both c-section and ovary resection, the surgeon opens the skin along the bikini line and then opens the fascia from the umbilicus to the pubic bone. The same suture, usually absorbable can be used in both. The ovarian cyst surgery also can be done with a laprascopic approach, minimally invasive. Okay to ask your surgeon about these choices. Surgical wound: The wound site can get infected, I would let your surgeon know about it.

Not really: There is a microscopic layer of skin that forms over incisions in 48 hours. I'd check your doctor's instructions, but usually you can open them to the air the next day and shower the day after that.

Probably: A test called a hysterosalpingogram (hsg) can be performed to demonstrate tubal patency.  Dye is injected into the uterus and flows out through the tube.

Usually a day or two: Ovarian cysts are sometimes removed surgically, usually with laparoscopy.  This involves inserting instruments through 1/4 inch incisions.  Recovery time from laparoscopic surgery is usually only a couple of days.

Depends on the size: It depends on the size of the cysts and how severe are the symptoms
you can take anti inflammatory medicines like Motrin for pain and discuss with your doctor how big the cysts are and what treatment will be best for you.Sometimes hormonal treatment with birth control pills can reduce the size and orevent cysts from forming.Not all cysts need surgery.

Depends: This depends on many factors including your body habitus, the size and consistency of the mass, skill of the surgeon etc. Typically if it is straightforward then it may be as short as 15 minutes. Add anesthesia time and setup and maybe it becomes 30 minutes from the time you go in, to the time you go out, of the or. Complications are not very common if it is routine.

taking mri for ovarian cyst.  i didn't take it last time i had it. removed only cyst by lap surgery. why do i have to take mri this time?

Depends: With prior operation, they want to be sure if it is a cyst, or if more than one, or any other abnormalities in area.
