im 30 weeks pregnant and for the past few days my tummy has been getting very tight and im light headed and dizzy. just last night i was having difficulty breathing while sleeping but im breathing normally now. is this normal during pregnancy ?

Evaluation: Most woman have small short contractions called Braxton His contractions in the third trimester. If you feel your pain is out of the ordinary then you should contact your Obgyn to be evaluated for preterm labor.

Getting dizzy: Pregnancy can impact women in many different ways  which can result in nausea , vomiting and dizziness . None the  less  u gynecologist  , may be able give u more information.

Many causes: Dehydration, low blood sugar, infections are just the start of a long list.  Call your OB and discuss.  Dizziness should be addressed, not ignored.

Light headed yes: To common causes of dizziness and pregnancy include anemia and decreased return of blood to the heart because of compression of the inferior vena cava late in pregnancy when the reclining.  The anemia occurs because of the increased demands due to the pregnancy itself. Other causes of dizziness may include elevated blood pressure due to eclampsia.

bp usually on the high side-during pregnancy it drops as is normal. this pregnancy it dropping suddenly and a lot..to 95/54 and i feel dizzy. too low?

Please let your: Obstetrician know promptly. The fact that your BP drops on the low side and that you are symptomatic means that it is yes - too low.

Blood pressure: Early in the second trimester, most women experience a drop in blood pressure and increase in pulse that sometimes causes lightheadedness or dizziness.  Make sure you stay well hydrated and certainly the pressures you list are normal.

Happens: Lightheadedness and dizziness are symptoms that could be seen in pregnancy, but certainly do not have to be.  Furthermore, they can be caused by a lot of factors that have nothing to do with pregnancy.  So having the symptoms, and then a normal period leads one to assume that the dizziness was not pregnancy related.

Stay hydrated: Are you sure you are in the LAST trimester?  Your profile states that you are 11 weeks.  No matter....Staying well hydrated and sticking to your recommended dietary regimen including taking your vitamins and minerals will ensure a smooth rest of the way to the finish line.  Eliminate tobacco and alcohol...stay away from second hand smoke and fumes as much as possible and get your exercise.

my last period date is 4th august, on 11 sept i had beta hcg serum test and was negative. i want to know now when i should test again to rule out pregnancy also i'm having no symptoms of pregnancy but feeling dizziness alot. please guide. thankyou?

: Dizziness is a symptom of early pregnancy, and also a symptom of anxiety.  Were your prop periods regular?  Did you have unprotected sexual intercourse 12-14 days prior to the missed period?  A missed, late or lighter than usual period is a sign of pregnancy, especially when unprotected coitus has occurred.  You would be well-advised to see a board-certified ob-gyn to evaluate the symptoms.
