Get Rx & blood test!: A bullseye rash around a tick bite is considered proof of lyme disease.If you do not have symptoms yet, you almost certainly will over time. It takes time for a blood test to turn positive & you should not wait for this; the earlier you start treatment the better the outcome.Many lyme specialists advise Doxycycline 200 mg 2x/day for a month to be safe.Also get tested for co-infections like babesia.

Tick bite: If the swelling is in and around the bite site, it's just the body'd reaction to the bite. If the tick was big, there's no need to worry. If it was a deer tick which is tiny, there maybe some need for concern becuase of lyme disease. Please look at the picture of the classic  bulls-eye rash of lyme - this occurs within 7-10 days after the bite.

No test.: If you live in or have recently visited an area where lyme is endemic you should not get a test.  It will be negative.  You should be treated.  See your doc.

Lyme: lyme western blot is sufficient. You don't need to look for other co-infection tick borne illnesses such as ehrlichia or babesia since they are short incubation period and have no long term effects, unlike Lyme which may cause rarely chronic problems

Granuloma?: Did US mention any calcium deposits in lump? May be a granuloma. Harmless. Can be removed surgically if unsightly or painful. Might way to talk to plastic or derm surgeon if considering removal. Best of luck with this.

Tick bite: African tick bite fever is apparently endemic in your area. Lyme disease has been reported in Africa. I recommend systemic antibiotics(?doxycycline) for 2 weeks in view of the rash and fatigue.Fucidin cream isn't sufficient treatment. Discuss this with your physician.

No: Only deer ticks carry the lyme organism, wood ticks do not. Not all deer ticks are infected. The characteristic rash is sometimes easy to miss.

Let me help: A small, red bump may appear at the site of the tick bite. This small bump is normal after a tick bite and doesn't indicate lyme disease. However, over the next few days, the redness may expand forming a rash in a bull's-eye pattern, with a red outer ring surrounding a clear area.
