: It could take up to two months to fully heal. Make sure no root tip or fragment is left in sinus. Have x-ray taken for conformation. When you feel that no air is coming out of your nose, than your on your way to healing.

It might also take longer if post op instructions are not followed.

Healing: For most people extraction ion sites are no longer symptomatic after 3 months, but for a very few others healing can take longer. Please return to the General Dentist or specialist Oral Surgeon that did your extraction to have the extraction site re-examined. Hopefully all that you will need is tincture of time.
