Inflammation ( red, hot, swollen, tender) is important to healing  so anti-inflammatories (motrin, advil) are bad. Cover the area with a small amount of antibiotic ointment and a clean dressing changed every other day  and protected from trauma.

Depends if you hyper: Pigment after abrasion or not. If you have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation occur after any kind of skin issue, it can take months or a couple years, also depending how deep it is into your dermis, or superficial. If it was just skin, that would heal fairly quickly. You may want to go to your dermatologist, who can discuss lightening agents that may help.

Scars;VitaminE: Life holds no guarantees as we know, but vitamin e oil placed directly on the scar regularly can help to fade or remove the scar.  You can get a bottle of it in the drug store.  It's inexpensive and worth a try; just be patient.  See doctor to make sure all is well and to avoid infection.

Yes: Drowsiness can be one sign of a concussion, as can vomiting. Take him for evaluation.

Allergy to polyspori: Allergies to antibiotics applied to skin wounds is common. Bacitracin, neosporin, polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin), (bacitracin and polymyxin) triple antibiotic are all common sensitizers. They are also useless. Also avoid peroxide, alcohol, iodine, tea tree oil, and all herbal or "natural" products. WATER is helpful. You can lubricate with vaseline or Aquaphor. When you stop polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) it should stop itching and heal in 5- 10 days.

i have a rash that looks like scabies but is not. skin scraping came back clear. all over  my  body but not on my face. any suggestions?

Hmm: If it looks like scabies I normally treat with Permethrin 5% as   sometimes there are only 6-8 Mites in your entire body leading to the negative skin scraping. Consider sending us a picture or seeing a dermatologist face to face and reconsider just treating for scabies.

a condyle from my jaw is loose. when i move my face the left side of jaw moves against facial bones, causing scraping, while right is stable and moves with head. doctors say no fractures. is this considered tmd or something else?

Oral surgeon mayhelp: Needs 3D image to diagnose. Looks like result of some injury/ unwanted gliding movement for chewy/ sticky food. Facial splint and physiotherapy with facial exercises/ hot &amp; cold fomentation/ temporal massage may help.Scraping on one side and normal movement on one side may be pointing at dislocation (as fracture is ruled out by other Dr) Please see oral surgeon. Antiinflammatory medicines mayhelp.

Cant fix: A skin abrasion can't be fixed.  You can keep it form itching by keeping it moist with vaseline, or zinc oxide.  Best to avoid sunlight, will help prevent scarring.
