Yes!: You need to talk with your doctor so that they can see if you are taking any prescriptions, drugs or supplements that can be harmful to your liver. You need test for Hep A/B/C/D/E/etc based on risk factors. You can be tested for other forms of liver disease such as autoimmune hepatitis. Since ultrasound was normal, you can have FibroSure blood test to detect any liver inflammation and/or fibrosis.

i'm 5'4, 230lbs. have elevated liver enzymes. lexapro and percocet 1daily. could this be my weight or my meds? np doesn't seem worried but i am! i've lost 100lbs but sill over weight. can i ask for more testing? very scared. healthy otherwise.

Rule out...: I'm betting it's lack of exercise. You can address this. You need to have hepatitis B and C, Wilson's, hemochromatosis, and autoimmune hepatitis ruled out. If it's lack of exercise, there's often fat in the liver on ultrasound. This isn't to be taken lightly. I also trust you're sensible and don't drink alcohol. Why not hit the fitness circuit harder and see if it doesn't fix things?

Depends: It depends on the underlying cause of the liver enzyme elevations. The most common cause these days is a one to five fold increase in liver enzymes due to fatty liver disease, however other causes like alcohol, autoimmune disease, hepatitis, etc can cause elevations. See a hepatologist to determine the cause. If your enzymes are over 500, it is concerning, depending on other factors and lab values.
