Withdrawal symptoms: If having acute alcohol withdrawal symptoms, go to an er for help.  They may also help you get into an alcohol rehabilitation program once the acute phase has passed.

Not really: Generally speaking there are no signs of elevated liver enzymes until you reach a state of severe disease. At this time you may experience some abdominal discomfort and yellowing of the skin. However, if you have had elevated liver enzymes from drinking alcohol, you should avoid further consumption.

Minimal: You should consider an alternate or non-alcoholic beverage.  There is no hard-fast number as every persons metabolism is different and there are other factors to consider such as weight and medications and what period of time. Alcohol is a toxin the liver must process to rid your body of it.

Clinic: You are doing lifestyle stuff that is good for your condition. But hep c and cirrhosis is serious illness, with risks for more serious problems like liver failure and cancer. Meds and monitoring can help minimize the risks, and might even cure the disease. Need to get medical care.

Please contact : An addiction medicine specialist for help. Right now open up the yellow pages, or google on line for alcoholics anonymous meetings. Go to a meeting tonight. If you don't have transport to a meeting, call the number & ask for help. Get a 12 step sponsor (even if only a temporary one). Take action now.  You are worth it.

Alcohol: If you have a history of chronic, heavy alcohol use, you may need to be detoxified in a hospital.  Encourage you to become involved with alcoholics anonymous (aa). It is free, confidential, supportive and can be very effective. Additionally, consider working with an addiction medicine specialist or an addiction psychiatrist.

See your doctor: Either your doctor or a specialist you can be referred to, will be able to prescribe medications that can help you detox, stay away from alcohol.  There are medications that will cause you to feel ill if you drink alcohol -- this is a tough way to do it.  Counseling is highly recommended; quitting without alcohol counseling is likely to fail.

is ecstasy really bad for you. since i quit drinking+smoking+avoiding processed foods i haven't had that much going out since i've tried e last week.
