Occasionally: Depending if you had hemorrhoids or biopsies, you may experience a little bleeding for a day or two.  If polyps are removed, the bleeding can be heavier and longer.

i have a small rectum that prevents either a colonoscopy or digital examination.  what options do i have.

Unlikely: You could either do virtual colonoscopy which is a ct scan or they can use a pediatric colonoscope which is a smaller scope for the colonoscopy.

Depends: Why was the colonoscopy done? If it was as monitoring for inflammatory bowel disease, then the biopsies were appropriate. Give it a week or so and check with your doctor about the results of the biopsies.

please tell me, could a colonoscopy show difference between prolapsed rectum and hemmrhoids?

Not very useful: Rectal prolapse when the last portion of the large intestine protrudes through the anus. Hemorrhoids are swollen blood vessels that develop in the anus and lower rectum. Early rectal prolapse can mimic internal hemorrhoids making it difficult to tell these.  Probably best test is to have a colorectal surgeon conduct exam by bearing down to show the prolapse.  Protoscopy and colonoscopy may help.

my sil had a colonoscopy and they couldnt advance the spoce passed her rectum. what might be the cause she is 78 yo?

: She may have severe fecal impaction or a quite big, invading rectal tumor. The latter is more likely. Your sister has to suffer from severe constipation with either condition. Good luck to her!

my friend has a colonoscopy 4 months ago with negative results. since then he has bleeding from the rectum sometimes clots.

Needs to go back: Have his doc take another look at him. Try to avoid blood thinners such as aspirin, motrin, aleve, (naproxen) ibuprofen. Good luck.

: Anoscopy with an anal speculum is not better than inspection via flexible fiberoptic colonoscopy. Take care.

what are juvinile polyps? one sessile juvinile polyp was found in my rectum during colonoscopy and i was 19. i can't find much information about them.

Juvenile polyposis: Mostly inherited, intestinal polyps occur in young people. They are not adenomas and are not malignant, but may be annoying. Repeated colon exams are done because of a lifetime risk of colon cancer of about 40 %. An uncoated [usually chewable] baby aspirin once a day reduces incidence of colon cancer and is recommended for life. A larger dose is not better. Coated aspirin may not work.

my friend has been bleeding from her rectum. a cup amount of blood yesterday and today but less. is there anything she can do? waiting for colonoscopy

See MD ASAP: She need attention now not in 2-3 wks.. This is significant, if not life threatening amoounts, blood loss
