Acute flare up is inconvinient and is what gets your attention to see doctor. The problem is the silent phase where you dont have pain.  We need to treat with "maintenance" meds to prevent flare ups and deterioration of joint.  Meds for attacks and prevention are different.

Yes: The fact that you have one kidney and also have gout is a potentially serious combination. You need to be on allopurinol or Uloric to lower the serum uric acid below 6 mg/dl to prevent kidney stones or compromise of function in your one kidney. For you, there is no such thing as mild gout. All gout is serious.

No.: Gout does not generally give symptoms like that.  Sounds like you have another problem.  You didn't elaborate, but you may have cramps or restless legs syndrome or another entity.  Your uric acid level is mildly elevated.  It is associated with gout but certainly not causative.

Try non steroidal such as Ibuprofen 400 mg before bed to see if it helps.  You might add 325 mg acetominophen if needed.

Check diet, kidneys: Can't tell here.  Could be diet related, including hydration/fluid atatus; could be other issues.  See your doc.  Excess protein, especially animal protein can increase uric acid levels, as can high simple sugar load, and alcohol.

Treat gout: I think i would treat you for gout symptoms even though your uric acid level is high normal range. There are a lot of conditions and even dietary issues that can give lower uric acid levels while you can have uric acid crystals in your joints causing severe joint symptoms. I would recommend a complete laboratory workup for the bone and muscle pain and lethargy. Don't let go of this.
