No, but . . .: I would STRONGLY recommend that you not work-out while taking codeine. You will increase your risk of injury. Codeine can effect your balance, which may effect your posture--which is critical when weight lifting. Also, codeine might mask your ability to properly sense pain, as well as your ability to judge when NOT to push yourself.

Do not use: Codeine is notorious for causing medication overuse and rebound headaches in patients who use it for migraine.  Don't start down the slippery slope!  instead, talk with your doctor about effective prophylactic treatment to reduce the severity and frequency of your attacks- there are medications (topamax, elavil) and procedures (botox) that can make a world of difference.

i have a sinus headache and took 1 apap/codeine 300-30mg 1hour ago but it still did not work is it safe for me to take another one?

Yes.: It's safe from the dose point of view, it's not going to cause harm, although when given prescriptions that have controlled substances, you should always contact your prescribing physician as there is a trust issue involved with doctor/patient relationships when patients take more than the prescribed dose for their medication.

Better options: Aspirin up to four grams daily, and tylenol (acetaminophen) up to 4 grams daily do a great job. This is usually standard. Avoid codeine. A few doses of tramadol are ok also.

Headache: Migraine headache is frequently in one side, but apparently is new in you, with out probably migraine hx.That probably is a occipital migraine, tensional or related to ear problem, .Check any ear infection, neuralgic pain, vascular headache. Some times Motrin 800 mugs help, but recheck with your pcp before to take any meds.
