Timing is everything: Uti dipstick tests are helpful but have serious limitations. Reading the stick at the correct time helps to improve the accuracy of the test, as you have noted.  The chemicals causing the color change degrade in time, confusing things. White cells in women can come from the vagina, giving a falsely positive test. Hydrate, consider antibiotics and see your doctor if you develop back pain or fever.

Urinary test WBCs: You probably have some trace leukocytes there but what you observe is the test strip "keeps reacting" after the 2 min mark, so it looks "more positive" than it is. Best to follow the test instructions exactly. White blood cells (WBCs) could indicate a urinary tract infection so you should probably see a doctor about it.

Unfortunately no: The urine dipstick can show only evidence of blood--white or red blood cells, ketone, sugar, protein, urobilinogen, how concentrated urine is, and may hint at positive for bacteria, but cannot show what specific type of bacteria. Even the clinical urinalysis cannot do that--it is often requiring culture and sensitivity testing to id the specific bug. Consult doc. Good luck.

Probiotic: Forastor is a probiotic. There is some thinking that if you restore the normal gut organisms with probiotics that UTIs will be less likely. It is not proven that this works with Florastor, but it should not cause UTIs and should not be harmful.

Confusing post: Group B strep is a germ common to the digestive tract/fecal debris. As many as 1/3 of women are found to carry it in their genital tract passively, returning off &amp; on through life. It occasionally triggers a UTI. It is considered of minimal importance unless a woman is pregnant &amp; then only as linked to MC and infection of the newborn after the bag of waters ruptures.

UTI and Acidity: Having an acidic urine will retard the growth of bacteria. You can acidify your urine by taking vit. C. It is better to stop any practices that may promote your getting a UTI rather than acidifying your urine.
