Swollen tonsils: Tonsillar swelling may be the result of bacterial or viral infection -- at home you can try Ibuprofen and salt water gargles, but see your physician if symptoms persist, if you have a fever, if your voice is changing, or if you have trouble swallowing or breathing.

three weeks ago i finished taking penicillin because my left tonsil was swollen. after finishing penicillin my tonsil  swelling went down but there's lump still behind it. how do i get rid of this?

Hard to say: I would see the Dr. who placed you on the antibiotics.  If in doubt, consider an ENT specialist.

See an ent: See an ENT doctor as it could be a tumor or something benign. Best to get it checked out asap.

Enlarged tonsil: There are different reasons for an enlarged tonsil, including infection and cancer. A physical examination would provide more ands for you.

: Maybe your immune system is right handed?  ;-). 
Dr humor. More likely one tonsil is bigger that other. If they were taken out one has grown back.

1-2 weeks : it's not uncommon to have continued swelling of the tonsilar tissue for up to 2 weeks after treatment is started.

Yes: Yes this can happen, however if your tonsils or neck lump are larger than 1cm and last for more than 30 days, please see a doctor to have it evaluated.

Node: Enlarged lymph nodes after tonsil infections are common and can stay enlarged for weeks. Pushing on it wont affect it. Check it out with an ENT if its been enlarged for awhile

It depends on.....: Unless you have pain in your Tonsils(Throat) and any other signs of infection such as Fever, you can wait to see your Doctor in May.
