Clinxa (nicotinamide/clindamycin) is a good choice for problem acne. Use it according to instructions for 8 weeks to determine if it is a good solution for you. If not, you should seek dermatologist advice.

Acne: clinxa gel can be used for acne twice a day maximum to 
dry out the comedones (black heads). It should be improved in 2-3 weeks, may not be gone by then. Usually, it takes 1-2 months to be resolved in time.

Depends on pt: Would use one am one pm(bed time) gently wash am and or bed time, if not better in 6-8 weeks return to your doc.

Don't wash it off: If not too much trouble, put make up over 'dry' clindamycin.

Clindamycin: It is unlikely that this will change either the scarring or the enlarged pores. See a dermatologist and they can advise you about methods by which this can be improved.

Clindamycin gel: Overuse if the gel can cause drying of the face . Stop the gel and apply moisturizers until your face is less dry and then reaply clindamycin

Use both: Adapalene enhances the effectiveness of topical clindamycin. Maybe half of people with acne aren't cleared by benzoyl peroxide; as long as it's on your face only, the combination is likely to clear you up. If not, there are more options.
