You'll know: You'll feel terrible, you'll be sick to your stomach and you will notice the whites of your eyes being unmistakably yellow when viewed in the sunlight. You may have discomfort in the right upper quadrant. None of these are specific. Early liver disease is often discovered on labs. If someone has warned you but scientific labs are normal & you feel okay, seek another opinion.

: I doubt you can do so yourself. Doctors are taught methods to estimate liver size by physical exam. Some rely on an ultrasound/x-ray/CT or MRI finding that can be quite accurate.

Liver damage: Trebinafine can cause liver damage and can even lead to liver failure, requiring liver transplant.  This has occurred even in individuals without preexisting liver disease.  Liver function tests should be monitored while taking trebinafine.  There is a new topical medication,
JUBLIA (efinaconazole), used to treat fungal infections, which is much safer for the liver.

Usually inflammation: typically enlargement is due to fat or inflammation - but can also be due to masses in liver etc.  end-stage liver disease typically shrinks the liver, makes it small and hard.

Really no: Your liver is your most robust organ and seldom gets sick. If you already have liver disease, your physician is your guide. If not, avoid excessive alcohol and get plenty of exercise. Your liver will probably thank you by remaining in perfect working order through what I hope will be a long life.

There are various: levels of severity of hepatic injury following trauma, from very minor to lethal.  It would be unusual for penetrating trauma to cause instant death, but if a major vessel was transected it could be a matter of seconds or minutes.

Diet and Exercise: Fatty liver is very common.  It is generally associated with the metabolic conditions of diabetes, elevated triglycerides, being overweight, or polycystic ovarian syndrome. There are no specific medications for it.  The most effective treatment is weigth loss, exercise, and controlling the dibetes and cholesterol/triglycerides.

Look in mirror: If you are jaundiced, yellow pallor to skin or whites of eyes. Redness to palms, itching with no direct cause, loss of taste then i would check with your doctor. Check side effects of any and all medications that you take even supplements.
