See below...: A tampon is a highly absorbent insert that is placed high in the vagina.  It expands as it ABSORBS blood so blood doesn't escape.  It is changed as needed through the day.   A diva cup (SoftCup is another brand) is a device that is placed high in the vagina to COLLECT menstrual blood until the device is removed.  SoftCups are changed less frequently and sex is still possible.  Best Wishes!

They don't: While there is no doubt there are substances that are toxic to the body, the odds that some magical pad recognizes them and sucks them out of the feet, right through the skin, are slim to none. A healthy diet, high in antioxidants combined with reasonable hydration is your best bet.

Vaginal or bladder: It is either coming from the bladder or vagina. Your GYN MD can determine the location and decide what it is and what is causing it. There are several causes of bladder leakage and vaginal discharges.

That will not help: To resolve it.Your doctor can prescribe Valtrex (valacyclovir) or another antiviral which can actually help regarding transmission to others. Melissa officinalis or lemon balm (cream). Brief supplementation w lysine 1, 000mg orally 3x a day at the onset, can hasten healing. Your dermatologist can provide laser treatments.

Can be the same. : For some spotting is just a part of the normal period that includes heavy days as well. Clotting, while common, is generally a reflection of excess bleeding not simple menstrual fluid.  Periods change for a given individual for many reasons--stress, environmental changes, and, even mild weight changes. Hope this helps.

can someone please tell me why i have abdominal pains? i work from home and sit a lot dont really work out daily. would that be the cause? i literally lay in bed at night with salon pain patches and heating pad sometimes?

: At age 28, even with a sedentary lifestyle (working from home) persistent abdominal pains interrupting normal sleep should be evaluated by a physician.  Obtain a referral to a GI specialist for an exam and other testing.

I don't understand ?: I don't understand your question.  It is normal for young women to occasionally have changes in their period frequency , duration or flow.  I would not be concerned about a lighter than normal period, unless you had unprotected sex since your last period.  If so, you may want to check a home pregnancy test.
