Obese?: Based on the information provided, her bmi is 27.4 which is above the 95th centile for her age and sex i.E she is considered obese. But bmi does not take in to account the lean body mass. If she is a muscular 9 year old, she could be ok. If not, she should be seen by your pediatrician and nutritionist. May need to go on diet and exercise program.

Estimate height: Boy = (mother's ht + father's ht +5) divided by 2,  girl=(mother's ht + father's ht -5) divided by 2.  Or average the parents' height and add 2.5 for a boy, subtract 2.5 for a girl.

If she is short, s/he can get some simple tests like a bone age study (xray of wrist/hand) to see how her bony maturity compares to her age. If it is truly behind it may be time for a more involved study of growth &amp; other hormones.If she is genetically short, balanced nutrition, proper sleep and exercise help best

BMI calculation: Requires age in years & months. If she's 11 years old 0 months, her bmi =12.4, is underweight.  If older, use http://bmicalc.Org/bmi-calculator-for-kids. Review her growth charts for height, weight & head circumference with her pediatrician to determine her velocity of growth; wt. Loss/lack of gain recently is more of a concern than if her velocity of wt. Gain has always paralleled the 5th %ile.

Bananas are of nutional values, but too much intake can lead to increase level of potassium which make cause metabolic-electrolyte abnormalities, if there is no kidney issues or arrhythmia, one Banana a day is acceptable.
