Several things: If this is a "new" condition for you then, a couple of things to consider.  One would be hormonal, most commonly thyroid gland.  There is also a phenomenon of heat intolerance in conditions which can affect the brain or spinal cord referred to collectively as demyelinating diseases. Also, sweating abnormalities resulting in the body's inability to properly cool itself can be a problem.

Get it checked: Assuming you never had such a headache before, you really need to got get it checked. Call your doctor. If you have had similar episodes in the past, it could be a migraine headache. If you have taken migraine medicine before, they should help you now too.

Not weird at all: Well, 38 is a bit on the young side for menopause, but it happens. Early ovarian failure or surgical menopause can happen at any time..And the hotflashes can be followed by some nausea, dizziness, sweating etc...It is actually quite common. Most menopausal symptoms are mild, but some people have very severe symptoms requiring treatment. If bothersome to you, consult doc. Good luck.

Could be normal: If this is how you've always been or can remember being then, it likely is the way your system has been calibrated by nature.  On the other hand your doctor may consider checking parameters such as thyroid or your female hormones.  They may even choose to recommend autonomic function testing if other information is present or get an MRI of the brain with contrast if certain information present.

50/f having some hot flashes for about 6 months.  now the are more frequent and intense along with dizziness and nausea. is this common for menopause?

GYN: Hot flashes-yes. Dizziness and nausea- not really. I advise a gyn evaluation and hormonal blood testing. I also advise medical consultation.

Thats easy: Three weeks ! time to see your doctor. Be sure to bring list of your symptoms as you might forget to tell them everything. 90 percent of medicine is the history. They will give you a good look and ask other questions. Likely they will order at least some some blood tests too. Lots of good diagnosticians in and around chicago.

Need examination: My advice is that you get to either a physician or ER if you are continuing to have sweats, fever, nausea/vomiting.  Sounds like you've either got a kidney infection or a kidney stone.  Drink plenty of clear fluids such as water in the mean time.  Don't overdo the ibuprofen until you know a bit more about your kidney status.  I might switch to acetaminophen instead.

Nonspecific symptoms: Many, many things can cause these nonspecific symptoms, including psychological problems. Much more information would be needed. A detailed medical interview and physical exam is the first step.

More info needed: Your symptoms of feeling warm, dizziness and nausea could be symptoms of overactive thyroid (hyperthyroid). However, many reasons such as panic attacks can also present similarly. Recommend talking with you primary doctor about all of your symptoms, duration, etc.
