Does it bother him ?: If the kid is playful & feeding well, why bother.Treatment of low grade fever is an option & one more necessary if the kid is fussy or shows other signs of feeling bad.If you ever bathe for fever keep the water luke warm or the brain will respond & push the temperature up not down. Fever is a natural response in illness & helps increase blood flow & circulation of healing factors.

Fever post c/s: If you are taking your temperature right after a hot bath , it may be higher because the heat transfers  from the bath to your skin/body just like in a sauna. Take it 30 to 45 minutes afterward,when your cooler.. Check for burning on urination or breast/abd pain. If it is true fever and is there 30 minutes to 1 hour after the bath, it should be  evaluated.Call you doctor in the morning and discuss

Yes but: fever isn't a bad thing. It is part of the body's way of fighting infection. It is good to treat the fever, because having a fever feels awful, but the fever won't "cook his brain" or anything bad like that. Alternate tylenol (acetaminophen) and ibuprofen as your doctor suggests, and if his symptoms worsen or don't improve, see your doctor again. Hope this helps!

May/not: The skin is the only part of our body supplied with active temperature sensors.Depending on the water temperature, a cold bath may tell the brain to turn on more heat and thus defeat any temporary benefit of the process. If immersed in water no more than 15 degrees below the desired temp, you may bypass that reflex.I haven't advised this to a parent in decades.

It's fine: Hot water while it can temporarily increase body temperature can sometimes help with fever because of the loss of heat through dilated blood vessels on the skin after bathing.  If it feels good I think fine. I sometimes take a hot bath when I feel a slight cold coming on and I believe it sometimes helps to avoid becoming more ill..no evidence just personal experience.  Avoid becoming light-headed.
