Different: I have personally had both. They both hurt but in a different way.   But remember if you are a good candidate for laser you don't have to let the hair grow out before the treatment and eventually you may be able to stop even laser treatments or have an occasional touch up. With waxing you will have to continue indefinitely.

Hot,packs: Would avoid steroids, but try hot moist packs to the involved area, washing well with soap,and water, and tweezing out the ingrown hairs. 
Apply bacitracin or other.antibacterial ointment after hair removal.  You might consider shaving the area afterwards and watch for repeat offenders.

I can not find any study done for it's safety or effectiveness .But they claim there are no side effect
Sorry we do not have too much scientific information about this.
But it sounds too good to be true that it removes unwanted hai permanently and no side effects

Side effect: Sadly, this is a common side effect that many patients develop after laser therapy. It can have a tremendously negative impact on self-esteem and some patients believe it is unattractive. It is not possible to predict who will develop this skin pigmentation. In my experience, it is permanent and may even darken over time.
