About colors...: The genitalia and upper inner thighs normally become darker than the skin on the rest of the body, unless one has a dark tan on other parts of the body. It might look unnatural and strange if one's genitalia and inner upper thighs were the exact same color as, or lighter than, the rest of the body. If worried, one's doctor can examine to see if any signs of a hormonal problem.

Diet mostly: Most of the time, symptoms of excessive "gas" are related to the diet. The top 3 dietary exceses, in order: 1) simple dairy, milk and soft cheeses, because of the milk sugar lactose. This is lactose intolerance 2) wheat products, i.e. Gluten intolerance 3) vitamin a foods, green, yellow orange fruits + veges. A simple 1 week withdrawal diet off each should clear up the symptoms. Then you'll know.

Sometimes, particularly in youths, the condition is behavioral.  Often, anal manometry followed by biofeedback can be curative without the need of surgery or medication.

Maybe, but...: Malabsorption is complex and may reflect bacterial fermentation from sibo, small bowel inflammation or mucosal disease (lots of causes), GI transit issues, pancreatic enzyme activity and sufficiency, etc. Since we can't say in your specific case what to expect, a word of advice may include a fructose re-trial if your doctor agrees after sibo eradication or treatment of enteritis (if present).

Try stretching, etc.: If your job requires sitting all day, it might help to stretch, and move your body in the opposite way that you move it when sitting down to work.  This would not only be likely to help the buttocks, but also your lower back, a true example of a place where chronic pain occurs.  Lying on your stomach, and/or some swimming may also help.
