Not sure..: That i understand the question. Where is the bile reflux? Do you mean reflux up the esophagus with heartburn? Bile refulx gastritis? There is no relationship between a low functioning gallbladder and esophageal reflux. See a gastroenterologist for a full evaluation. Gallbladder surgery would increase bile into the intestines and might increase bile reflux gastritis.

Ph-impedance : This is a test that requires a tube that passes through the nose and in to the stomach and stays there for 24 hours. If looking specifically for bile reflux, stay on anti-acid medications. I will tell you about liquid reflux, and on medication that would typically be non acid liquid and/or bile. Its important to correlate your symptoms with these reflux events. May need a referral to a GI doc for This. Hope this helps!

Bile reflux/ dumping: Questran helps w/ bile salts &amp;  dumping. Octreotide  helps dumping &amp; decrease bile salts.  Bentyl is used in dumping. 
 Eat "grazing diet"  Avoid fats, high acid, spicy food, alcohol smoking caffeine.  Check for Zolligner-Ellison Syndrome/ carcinoid.

Depends: Have you had surgery before?  Bile reflux is not a common problem unless someone has surgically altered your anatomy.  There are some bile salt binding medications which can help.  It may require surgery if you start to develop significant esophagitis.

Bile: Bile reflux results from bile in the second half of the stomach, duodenum, refluxing back through the pyloric valve into the stomac or esophagus.  Thos can be from a mechanical process or you msy be having difficulty moving food through you gut.  I recommend a visit with s GI specialist.

Probably not: Bile produced in the liver is excreted via the common bile duct through the papilla of Vater.  It should flow ante grade into the small bowel.  If it flows retrograde into the stomach, it is termed biliary gastric reflux.  It was thought that this could be a cause of gastritis.  However, this phenomenon is commonly observed on nuclear hepatobiliary scans in patients without gastritis by endoscopy.

Bile acid: Ursodiol has been found to be effective at relieving the symptoms of bile acid reflux. Please see a gastroenterologist to confirm that you indeed have bile acid reflux.
