Soft stools: The color of the stool doesnt matter. It sounds like you have a viral infection, lactose intolerance or a reaction to something you ate. My best advice is to avoid all dairy products for 3-5 days and limit your diet to Bananas, rice, fresh apples, tea, dry toast and yogurt ( vanilla or lemon). The yogurt replenishes the good bacteria in yuur bowel.

can holding your stool in cause colon cancer when you are 50?

Accepted Answer

No!: But it's not a good idea!  when your body sends you the signal that is time to move her bowels, you should listen.  It's really pretty smart.  Obviously, one cannot always get to a bathroom when we get that signal.  But if you do, go move your bowels.  Your colon, rectum, and especially the hemorrhoidal veins will thank you (prevent hemorrhoids!)

: Yes. When you 'hold in' a BM you squeeze the muscles around the anus/rectum and the prostate area.

Hemorrhoidectomy: It is always possible but until you reach that age you will not know.. Fecal incontinence can occur in older people whether you have surgery or not.

Please see answer: Coccyx injuries from a fall can bruise, fracture or dislocate the coccyx. The pain(coccydynia) can be severe. Management is conservative, but if severe pain persists see your physician. Avoid sitting on hard surface, use a doughnut (cushion with the center removed), lean forward to take pressure off tailbone, ice for 20 min 4x a day for 2 days, OTC pain meds. Need pro-evaluation: Any boy with the reported symptoms should be professionally checked out if he has UTI or poor bladder emptying or stone, etc. through reviewing his general and urinary, and GI health, his pattern of voiding and BM, mental &amp; physical growth as compared to his peers + conducting physicals + testing urine and bladder as needed so to deduce possible Dx for proposing reasonable Rx. Don't put off &amp; wait

Doctors can examine: Her pediatrician can evaluate. If due to constipation, a person with constipation needs to be sure there is no other disease causing it. If constipation is just due to slow movement of the food and poop through the gut, then the things to try are vegetables, water, fiber with water, prune juice, prunes, polyethylene glycol, Senokot or other senna, milk of magnesia, etc...
