NO!: If you want to be sure about your HIV status you should have a blood test drawn. If you want to avoid going for a blood test you can look into the  oraquick test which you can buy for about $40 and uses a saliva sample. Good luck.

Screening: These are less accurate than blood or saliva but the insurance folks are probably more interested in convenience.

Yes, possibly: Yes, it is possible to check for HIV in the urine as there are urine HIV tests.  However, you should ask your gynecologist if he or she ran a urine HIV test or not.  This is not necessarily a standard test to run, but depends on the preferences of the doctor or clinic.  Usually, the typical standard test is a blood test for hiv.

Penile pain: Pain as described may be due to herpes I or II, and if a serum blood test was not done, it may reveal a positive IgM or IgG antibody to either.  Ask your urologist or primary care physician about exactly what tests were performed.

: I'd like to know the diagnosis for which levofloxin was prescribed. Was it nongonococcal urethritis,prostatitis,bladder infection? Get hiv  testing 3 weeks , 3 months&amp;6 months after exposure.

Abnormal urinalysis: Leukocytes, nitrates and bacteria in urine with dysuria will indicate urinary infection and usually treated with antibiotics.

HIV: You do not routinely check urine for hiv. This organism can be measured by pcr for HIV rna, by indirect testing for antibodies to HIV or by the presence of p24 antigen, all in the blood, or more specifically the serum.
