i've read a lot of stories about hiv and fingering. the most interesting thing is that even if you have a cut on your finger, you don't get hiv. i actually wonder if this is true. some sites always say this can happen. however, certain sites say no?

: Two things are known.  1) There has never been a reported case of HIV in anyone whose only potential source of infection was fingering or hand-genital contact. 2) Cuts and nicks on hands and fingers are extremely common, so there must have been billions of fingering events in the presence of such lesions. Can it happen? Maybe. But if so, it is exceedingly rare; zero risk or close to zero.

Non-Intact Skin: If there's any concern for HIV at all, you both should get tested. Have the talk before engaging in any sexual activity. It's the mature and safe thing to do. Sure, it's a little awkward, but not moreso than dying of aids. It's safe to assume that secretions will carry HIV and that if you have any micro-abrasions on your finger that it's certainly possible that you could contract the virus.

NO: You can only contract HIV by having an exposure to the virus. You cannot give yourself HIV.

No worries: First, fingering or other hand-genital contact his risk free for HIV. There has never been a reported case. Second, a duo test at 5 weeks is about 99% conclusive. Finally, the variable numerical result is meaningless.  All values under the cutoff (usually 0.9) are equally negative. (The same specimen tested 10 times would give  10 different members.) Move on without worry and no more HIV tests.

: Fingering or other hand-genital contact rarely if ever transmits HIV. There have been no scientifically documented cases of such transmission. That said, common sense suggests avoiding all intimate contact with partners known or suspected to have HIV and not on effective an anti-HIV treatment.

HIV risk?: No. Hiv is not caught through skin to skin contact. There is zero risk here, even if there are 'cuts' on the finger's skin.

No: HIV is contracted through sexual  itimate contact where there is exposure to blood .this usually means mucosal surfaces of our body which is s'more delicate surface.Another source is blood transfusion or intravenous drug use.

Contact with HIV : HIV transmission can occur if an open wound on an uninfected person comes in contact with blood or semen from an infected person. a wound need not be actively bleeding for it to be open.

HIV: Is transmitted by transfer of bodily fluids or blood. If the finger has active bleeding and is used in fingering then transmission is possible

a man did anal fingering to me and tried to do fisting also but i can't tell for sure whether the fisting actually happened. he was wearing new gloves and used lube as lubricant. any hiv risks?

Probably not: Hiv is transmitted via infected blood. If the glove barrier is intact there should be very little risk of transmission.
