Ankle trauma: Assuming this was an accidental strike  - pretty hard and you are more prone to a "shatter type of fracture due to concentrated forces.   You could have very easily caused a bone bruise which is painful.    
If you are attempting to break an ankle - unfortunately I can not provide that information

Get an x-ray: Many seemingly innocuous injuries such as yours may be anything from a fracture to a ligament , nerve or tendon injury. When insufficiently treated , this often leads to chronic pain. Get an exam, x-ray and other diagnostic tests indicated and suggested by your podiatrist.

Ankle fracture: it is highly unlikely that you could dislodge the plate in your ankle from bumping it

: There could have been some superficial nerve injury. If a minor fracture occurred I would expect continued pain and swelling. See your MD as needed.

Watch and wait: You may watch and wait. If the site becomes red, painful, develops a discharge or you get fever, see a doctor. If it has been more than 24 hours since the injury you may apply warm compress.

: Your question is incomplete. Please seek medical attention so the ankle joint becomes infected. Then you have a real problem.

Yes: Even if there was a fracture, it should be healed in three months.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

so.  im not sure if i may have hairline fractured my ankle. its been swollen ever since like 2 saturdays ago. i got hit by a softball thrown at me.

Ankle fracture?: You need to have this xrayed.  Sharp pain, local swelling?  Is so you may be right.  Softballs are not so soft when they hit a bone.  You should have this looked at soon.
