Monthly ache: Hip pain is usually felt in the groin, so it does not sound like you are experiencing pain from your hip. Both back and muscle pain can get worse with your menstrual cycle- it is worth discussing with your pmd- with possible referral to a physiatrist.

tired, headache, menstrual like cramping 2 and a half weeks before period, cramps a little below between both of my ribs, hip pain. what do i have?

It will be difficult: To tie all of those together.  Get on the pill and see where the pain goes, it's first line for pelvic pain and cramping.  Could have bladder involved.  Could have anxiety with a poor pain "filter" do u sleep well at night, have crying spells, back pain, clinch ur teeth at night, worry alot, feel stressed out?These can affect how you experience pain and be combined with cramping. I would get seen.

Lumbar fx: In general, yes the pain can vary in lumbar vertebral fractures because of varying hormonal levels. Those hormones directly affect micro blood flow and can also change sensory response.

Unsure: Could be several things.  If it is severe or persists more than several hours then you should be evaluated.  Sorry but the list of possible causes is long.  With any type of abdominal/pelvic pain, best to be seen.  If any fevers, vomiting, diarrhea, sudden worsening of pain, please be seen right away.  Sorry this was not more helpful. she is 17yrs. been having intermittent serious inside pain in right leg, from upper hip down to back of her knees. no swell.feels it around her menstrual cycle , don't know what link if any. and it's severe that makes impossible to walk. please help?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. Accepted Answer

Yes.: Sleeping partially tilted to the left or at a partially upright angle is fine. Although we prefer the left side, you may also sleep on your right side. The main idea is to not sleep flat on your back. Also try a pillow under your hips.

See physician: There are many causes of hip pain. Pain can be in the front, side, or back of the hip. A few of the more common causes are arthritis, bursitis, and tendonopathy. Some of the more serious causes are infection, fractures, and cancer. I would recommend seeing your physician if you have sereve pain that wakes you from your sleep.

Possible Hip problem: This could be either a primary hip problem or a tightness of muscles and underlying tissues (fascia) giving you a muscular pain issue. Either way you should have your pcp examine you to rule out these issues and direct you to the correct treatment, potentially specific physcial therapy regimens.
