See physician: There are many causes of hip pain.  Most of them are related to bursitis, tendonitis, or arthritis.  You should see a physician to help localize the source of your pain.  There may be some modifications to the type of work that you do or some recommendations for prevention.

Unlikely: Don't worry, you are going to be fine. Ovarian cancer is unlikely at your age and usually has no symptoms. Your complaints sound musculoskeletal and you should get a full history and exam by your physician. Try to rest, use ice, NSAIDs if no bleeding risk and make an appointment or go to Urgent Care, which requires no appointments. Don't be scared, see your MD. You're going to be okay.

Hip bursitis: It is likely that you have a condition called trochanteric bursitis of you hip--it is inflammation of the area surrounding the curve of the hip-thigh bone. Possibly resulted from excessive use/walking/running and/or laying on the side on a firm/hard surface too long. Do some really good range-of-motion/stretching, and use of motrin/aleve may help. If not better, consult doc for eval.

Rule out hernia: Please see your MD in urgent care for a full history and exam. It is likely to be musculoskeletal pain possibly caused by a hernia. A full exam in person is the only way to tell. Please be able to discuss your entire medical history, meds, allergies, family history of medical problems, surgeries and the onset/severity/loacation/duraiton/intensity and associated factors for your condition. Uncertain : My thought is not to only consider cancer as much as other hip area problems such as arthritis or even avascular necrosis of the hip. An MRI should help clarify this

Yes, some details se: Ct scan shows the normal anatomy of all the structures examined although it is not the best test for hip cancer which is best seen with a ct scan or MRI scan of the pelvis with a focus on the bones.

If your U/A does not: Blood, it is very unlikely you have bladder cancer, but the next logical step is a urologist, cystoscopy and retrograde ureterogram. Ct and mr only after this.

would you recommend an intrathecal pain pump for my brother with germ cell cancer with mets to spine, pelvis, hip, back, lung, and liver? pain's bad.

Yes.: Intrathecal pain pumps are ideal for treating severe cancer pain due to metastasis.  There is significantly fewer side effects when narcotics are given this way compared to oral or IV meds which typically results in much better pain control and quality of life.

See a doctor: A hematoma is collection of blood in your tissue and can commonly occur after a traumatic event.  Usually a hematoma resovles on its own.  However if you are having continued abdominal pain and blood in your stool it is better to see a doctor right now as this can be indicative of internal bleeding.
