Could be: You may lurch from the pain but i suspect you may also have some lumbar disc disease compounding your problems.  If you are overweight, the single best thing you can do is lose weight.  If you smoke you need to quit.  Add some supplemental calcium of 1500mg/day and add some vitamin d if you tend to be a more indoors girl.

Depends: Not that common, what you need to be worried is if the pain radiates down the leg, if you loose strenght in your leg or if sensation changes on any area of the leg. You should promptly adress this with your pcp.

Get it evaluated.: Hip pain does not occur as a result of labor. You probably have lower back or pelvic pain. This should be evaluated as injuries to the pelvic joints during labor can be very painful and persistent. See an orthopedist.

It depends: It probably depends of the degree to which you hip motion is restricted. Discuss with your obstetrician.

Strong tendons: Are a result of strong muscles. Start working on all muscle groups using resistance training.

Not usually: it may happen from one injury that causes you to over compensate other body parts causing them to hurt as well

Not specific enough: the pain started immediately or next morning of the delivery?
wake up at night with it when you turn in bed?
Painful to touch, standing up, coming down the steps etc?
Must see orthopedic doctor     since its been 6 months    i guess this most likely tendonitis which may be helped by a shot of cortisone    BUT  don't trust me please,

i have pain in my thigh bone area near the hip. it used to heal by sitting giving pressure to the point one hard surface ( years back), but this time , it doesn't go away. applying heat to the area helps for short time. what should i do?

: You should keep a diary of the pain and share with your Dr. If you do not have one now is a good time to start.
