if my son was on a ventilator that is on recall because it stop giving oxygen to the pt whit out letting the dr knowing can it cause harm to his lung

Unlikely an issue: Most icu's maintain some redundancy in their monitoring which allows the staff to continuously monitor the blood oxygen, expired co2 and other features of a ventilator with equipment that is physically separate from that ventilator.( a separate monitor ) if the unit was not maintaining such redundancy, it might be an issue.

Throw it away now: Your parent probably didn&#x27;t mean to do this, but these things are extremely dangerous. You&#x27;ll end up enslaved to nicotine, very likely for the rest of your life. There&#x27;s no form that&#x27;s harmless. Please stop using it.

Vapor pens: Vapor pens even those not containing nicotine may be harmful  They are not regulated and may contain chemicals which are or may prove to be harmful

Yes: Yes, the smoke clings to the clothing and can cause worsening of your symptoms. Suggest that he wear a shirt or robe over his clothing while smoking, then take it off when he comes back inside.

No: But upper area fibrosis could come from axposure to tuberculosis ; other aerogens
get test to be sure.

It may harm: Visit an urgent care center and get a chest x-ray and physical exam to  rule out a broken rib or pneumothorax like conditions.
