Let's see ....: It has been about 12 or 13 weeks since the middle of April (today is July 20). That would be losing about a pound a week. Now I don't know if you are trying to lose weight, but if you are, this is just about perfect! (I don't know if you worried that you are losing too much or not enough). But losing 1 pound a week on a sensible diet such as this is your best shot at normal long term weight.

Moderation : Excess protein actually can inhibit your production and secretion of testosterone. Also testosterone is made from cholesterol. So i would not recommend a "high protein", "low fat" diet. Depending on your weight and activity level, i would recommend 6-8 ounces of protein (and fat) in the form of meat or fish or eggs or cheese or poultry 3 times each day. Keep your carbs fairly low.

Q: am having a hard time loosing weight on tamoxifen could that be to blame? currently 1200cal hi protein low fat diet. not loosing. any ideas?

It doesn't help: The tamoxifen doesn't help. I would stay with the 1200 calorie diet (track it to be sure that's really your intake). I would then start increasing the exercise. If you are not exercising at all right now then start with walking and maybe strength training. Pilates, yoga and swimming / water aerobics are good options too.

Depends: If you eat dairy products you can try greek yogurt or cottage cheese (otherwise soy/almond/coconut yogurt). Non dairy sources include chia seeds, beans, lentils, quinoa, eggs, artichokes, broccoli, avocado, asparagus, tofu, peas, spinach, beet greens, peanuts, pistachios, sesame seeds, garbanzo beans.

Q: in last 15 wks, from 218 lbs, i became 204 lbs.the only thing i'v changed is stoppd eating outside & hvng homely food. low fat, med protein,sufficient carb & high fibre. no fast food/fried/spicy food,alcohol. is this wt loss good or due to disease?

Maybe diet works...: If there's a reason for an obese person losing a pound a week, such as eating fewer calories, then we presume the lower calories is causing the weight loss. If such a patient has some new, worrisome symptoms of another disease, his doctor can evaluate those symptoms.
