Balanced diet best.: You don't actually need a LOT of protein in your diet to build muscle. What you need is a BALANCED diet, including fat and carbs. There is no need to eat large amounts of protein because most of it will be wasted. Follow a balanced diet sheet for your age, sex, and BMI. The most important (and hardest) thing to do is be CONSISTENT with your workouts and healthy diet. Good luck!

Depends on health of: It is dependent on the health of your kidneys. If your kidneys are normal, then high protein dies has no effect on them. But if you have impaired kidney function(with a high serum creatinine level(&gt;2mg), then proteins are potentially harmful and low protein diet is useful and proven helpful. So high protiens are toxic to damaged kidneys.

Muscle building: You need to make sure that you are consuming enough calories and not burning too many calories with your "vigorous exercise".  Also, if your goal is to bulk up, you need to make sure you are doing the right type of activity; high weights and low repetitions.  Consider consulting with a strength coach or a personal trainer for more details if need be.  No medication should be necessary!

It would lower pH: Protein metabolism produces a number of acidic compounds through oxidation.  These acidic chemicals include hydrochloric acid (hcl), sulfuric acid (h2so4), and phosphoric acid (h3po4) depending on the Amino Acids of the proteins.  The effect of these acids is to lower the ph of urine.  A high protein diet may also increase your risk of developing kidney stones.
