In most cases: the cause is not known.  There are many possible causes of high pressure in the eyes including the use of certain drugs such as corticosteroids, pathologic states such as narrow angles, pigment dispesrion and pseudoexfoliation.  An exam by an ophthalmologist can help you determine the cause in your case.

Yes: High pressure can cause a headache, usually a brow ache.  Even though this can occur, it is rare in my experience.  A visit to an ophthalmologist can determine if anything with your eyes is causing headaches.

Sure: There are certainly reasons other than glaucoma for increased intraocular pressure. Some meds can cause it, head trauma ,brain tumors, other diseases. However, with a "normal" eye other than needing contacts and an otherwise normal physical exam, glaucoma would be most common cause. Talk to ophthalmologist about if he/she has concerns about other health problems that could be cause...

Eye pressure: It is possible that wearing tight goggles could temporarily raise the pressure inside the eyes. It is also possible that the eye could be damaged by such elevated pressure. An eye exam with an ophthalmologist should be able to disclose any damage that might have occurred.  Be sure to let the doctor know about your goggle habits.

I would stop: The eyes form their own lubrication &amp; any washing/rinsing of outside debris should be with clean water. Don't put anything into your eyes under pressure unless you want to damage them. The self lubricating film created by the eyes has anti-germ factors that help them stay healthy. If/when you wash this away you are asking fro trouble.

Eye washing: I don't think it's advisable or necessary to wash your eyes in that manner, although I doubt the pressure in the tap water is exceedingly high. Nevertheless there is no need to squirt tap water directly into your eyes especially with force. I wouldn't worry about going blind, but more about irritating your eyes with mild trauma and nonsterile water.

Likely: Yes, likely. There is nothing sterile about tap water.  It's also not a good lubricant.  For chemical injuries to the eyes, a rapid water flush is advisable.  Eyes are self cleaning for the most part.  You may lubricate, cleanse the eyelid margins with appropriate eyelid hygiene (OcuSoft lid wipes), and rinse with approved EyeWash for ridding debris. Not a good practice to use your technique.

Consult Opthalmologi: Only way you can find out is by consulting an Opthalmologist. They will check the pressure and examine and complete Eye exam and if there is Incresed pressure it needs to be treated. Don't waste tome and do it asap

Sort of: The eye is vascularized and some of the effects of elevated blood pressure elsewhere in the body can occur in eye vessels.  Some consider glaucoma to be a sort of "high blood pressure" of the eyes but they are different items.  If you lower the systemic blood pressure, the pressure in the eye vessels will correspondingly drop.

No: You may feel eyestrain and have dry eyes, but stress alone does not raise your eye pressure. It may raise your blood pressure though. Try to reduce your stress and get more regular sleep.
