What is the question: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, it might have helped if you had provided the actual results. It would be prudent to discuss the results with the doctor who ordered the tests.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

hi, my daughter is 4yrs.  shes having recurrent fever since last month.  now  with low hb and high platlet. what does this mean?

See a doctor ASAP: Your daughter appears to have a chronic febrile (fever) illness that has created anemia. In addition the elevated platelets suggest that the bone marrow is very active for an as-of-yet unidentified reason. She definitely needs a detailed evaluation by a pediatrician or an infectious diseases expert or both. Take her now. Good luck

i have high platlet count 991 high wbc 13.5 and gaint platlets.. i have an appointment with a hemotologist/oncologist in 12 days.. very worried about this can this cause blot clots or stroke??please help.?

: Your platelet count is quite high and there is a small risk of blood clots. The risk of blood clots is not all that significant unless the platelet count is over 1 million. Aspirin is a good drug to use if you are worried. One tablet daily is enough but do check it with the doctor(call the doctors office and speak with a doctor or nurse) whom you are going to see in 2 weeks.

i have high platlet count around 900. i fell and fractured my upper arm. taking prednisone 15 mg daily for a month..and taking oxycodone 5mg every 6 hours sweating terribly. just noticed a huge bruise on my arm d dimer is over 700 is this concerning?

: I assume you mean your high platelet count is 900,000. I'm not sure what the prednisone is for. Trauma and surgery alone can cause high D dimer levels. Your hematologist should be involved in this situation to advise you.

CIS vs MS vs stroke: You have a demyelinating lesion in the back part of your corpus callosum . This can be due to MS , clinically isolated syndrome or something else. Your ability to process vision may be affected. I do not have enough information to comment on the abnormal blood count. Based on what has been ordered it appears that you are in good hands.

Not to worry.: Most people who have slight elevations of platelet count have no blood disease.  Normal ranges vary slightly from lab to lab because of slight differences in lab techniques and how "normal" is defined.

Need hematologist: A high platelet count can be for a number of reasons, some of which are serious medical problems.  While your physician may be able to find the answer, it is likely that you will need a referral to a hematologist for testing to arrive at the diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Essential: Thrombocytosis is a seemingly benign over-production of platelets but has a tendency to lead to clots and strokes, and may be a true myeloproliferative (leukemia like) disorder. You need to see a hematologist/oncologist to seal the diagnosis and discuss the need for treatment and options.
