The  two could be re: The two may be related. This is something to discuss  with your physician. The  liver is on the right  side where you are  having your  symptoms. This needs  to be evaluated.

i have had bilateral leg pain for a few weeks and no other symptoms, and went to see my doctor who drew blood. my muscle enzymes, cpk was at 345. is the leg pain related to the increase in elevated cpk? what do i need to do?

: You need to work with your Drs and find out the cause of your elevated CPK and muscle pain.  Has it been VERY HOT where you live? R U Taking any BP meds?

Has you blood K been low? Need more info.

Gout and CPK: Muscle enzmye -CPK does not usually rise with gout but in rare cases if on colchicine and uloric   drugs used to treat gout you can have elevation of CPK. Also if someone is on a statin (used to treat high cholesterol) like lipitor (atorvastatin) can have elevation of CPK . F/U with doc

Many.: Simply exercising vigorously will elevate cpk. Bruising or straining muscle can elevate enzymes.  Drug reactions to statins can do this.  An certain metabolic myopathies and inflammatory myositis can causes this.  I've gone from the least important to some serious issues, which are fortunately less likely!

In 2-year-old boys, : elevated liver enzymes alanine &amp; aspartame transaminases signal the need to check a muscle enzyme, creatine kinase, while evaluating for hepatic disease.  If all 3 enzyme levels are elevated, molecular genetic studies may reveal a diagnosis of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy or Becker Muscular Dystrophy even before clinical onset of progressive muscle weakness is obvious.

Just being fit: The reference range is set on the assumption that you don't exercise. Fitness types routinely have values way up in the thousands. No need to limit your fun in the gym.

Maybe: Modest elevations of the CPK can occur after a vigorous work out. I would suggest stopping workouts for 3-4 days and then rechecking the lab work.

Not enzymes: Muscle enzymes released during muscle fatigue (exercise) do not have any known affect on the menstrual cycle.  Women who are very thin from repeated vigorous exercise can have alterations in menstrual cycles due to complex hormonal alterations.

Liver enzymes: Ast and alt are released when the liver cells (hepatocytes) become injured. Usual physical activity with muscle soreness would be very unlikely to be associated with liver injury.  However, many common medications, including Acetaminophen (tylenol) can cause liver cell injury.

Yes  and no: Herniated disks and various pain syndromes are certainly related.  Do you know why your liver enzymes are high?  Please make sure you are not taking too much tylenol (acetaminophen) or tylenol (acetaminophen) containing products, as tylenol (acetaminophen) overdose can cause elevated liver enzymes.  Hepatitis c can cause high liver enzymes as well as muskuloskeletal pain.
