Anydrug: can cause problems as all go thru the liver. if you are on no other meds do not drink heavilly and dont use large amounts of tylenol (acetaminophen) it could be the gabapentin

See a liver doctor.: If your son 's liver enzymes are repeatedly high,  you should see a liver specialist to determine why. There are specific tests which can determine the cause of elevated liver enzymes. Most pediatric gastroenterologists would be able to tackle this problem.

Many things: Medicines, hepatitis, cancer, certain hereditary diseases to name a few. If you have elevated liver enzymes you definitely need to be evaluated by an internist.

Need more info: What are the actual results? Elevated liver enzymes may be due to alcohol intake, infection with hepatitis viruses, medication side effects and more. Please consult your doctor for proper evaluation.

: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your doctor may wish to order a serum protein electrophoresis for additional information. It is unlikely to be sinister.  Wish you good health!

This is serious : Elevated liver enzymes at your age warn of treatable illness that if missed will kill you. Your physician will rule in or out hepatitis, hemochromatosis, Wilson's, autoimmune disease, medication allergy (are you taking any unregulated "herbals"?), alcohol abuse, others.

LFTs : Yes. You should repeat the labs and if still elevated, need further work up to rule out hepatitis , side effects of medicine, obstruction of biliary system or primary liver disease.

Yes: If the cause of the elevation of liver function tests is chronic, it would not be changed in a month.  On the other hand, if it was an acute change, it may have resolved by now, or if serious, you would have been sicker by now.  Nevertheless, if you had significant abnormalities in your liver tests, then you should definitely have it repeated to see if it is getting better or worse.
