Yes, depending: On force of impact and location of injury.  Most likely, though, a weakened area was present before the accident, and the impact was the final straw.  Every case is different, so ask your surgeon for a definite opinion.

I wouldn't think so: Loose belly muscles help a developing baby by allowing easy blood flow thru the umbilical cord ; into babies body. After birth, that loosness may allow a transient umbilical hernia that will usually disappear when the belly muscles tighten, starting after baby learns to sit.By 2yo most uh have receded. I find girls more likely to need repair than boys ? Reason.I rarely refer for repair.

i had small sliding hiatal hernia 4/12. 3/27/13 i was hit from behind in car accident with seatbelt on  4/2/13 had gastric bypass surgery; found large paraesophageal hernia.can the accident cause this?

Hiatal hernia: It is possible that the accident can cause this.  However, one can have a spontaneous hernia as well.  I would make your surgeon aware and have your surgeon follow this closely.

: Probably a hiatal or abdominal hernia, right? Travel by any means (car, air, boat, train) shouldn't be a problem.

Possibly: It is possible you have a hernia, but another possibility that seems more likely is that you have injured your hip; especially with the info provided that you can t walk on it and it may have begun after "doing the splits by accident". Hip problems often cause a referred pain that goes to the groin.  Don't hesitate to be seen for a specific diagnosis.

may have taken 1,300 of tylenol (acetaminophen) at once on accident should i be worried and get treated for overdose? 121lbs 5'4 open hernia repair yesterday

Tylenol (acetaminophen): A one time dose of 1300 mg should not be a problem.  the recommended dose for an adult is between 650-1000mg every 6 hours.  The maximum dose in 24 hours is 4000 mg.  You should be fine, 
I would call my surgeon if I were you however to let him/her know.  Speedy Recovery.

See a dotcot soon: You may have in inguinal hernia and currently safe because it has not become entrapped . If it does get trapped the bowel can strangle and that can lead to complications so see a general surgeon soon

3 hernias fixed 1/29 than muscle thickened n pulling pain by mesh so scar tissue cut out 6/25. i felt pulling pain again when straining on accident.  what is causing the pain? will it ever be ok?

Scar: This is scar tissue. It will linger for months then gradually improve

i had a lifting accident 4 years ago. too much weight was lifted and my left side groin felt shooting pain. i went to several different doctors and every diagnosis for suspected hernia was negative. i now know some muscle(s) have clamped down. help!

Clamped down?: Most likely you torn groin musculature: I suggest a medical and a PT exam and therapy.
